Strolling the Gilbert Riparian Preserve is a tranquil diversion at any time, but none more beautiful than early Spring when flowers and cactus are in bloom. Every season has it’s unique appeal. Even in the heat of our Arizona Summers, you’ll find a few shady spots on the trails where the stillness safeguards the parks ducks, turtles, bunnies, geckos and lizards and a surprising variety of birds and other wildlife. The protective blinds for viewing birds around the basins are particularly helpful. There’s a cactus garden, as well as Butterfly and Humming Bird gardens. Restrooms and picnic Ramadas are available as well. Small hidden gems like the Gilbert Riparian Park are what make Gilbert one of the best places to live in Arizona.
