Kudos yet again to Joe, but a lot of aggravation could have been avoided completely.
It’s not just newbies to the market or first-time buyers that can be misled, taken advantage of, or even just find that they misunderstood. The Home Buyer here is an intelligent, educated man who paid close attention to the details of his contract and still nearly lost his $16,000 deposit.
The sales people at construction sites work for the builder. As pleasant and as knowledgeable as they may be, they do not and will not work in the best interest of the home buyer, that is not their job.
There is no charge… that’s worth repeating… THERE IS NO CHARGE to the Home Buyer for Agent representation but you must, and this is important, bring your agent with you on your FIRST VISIT to a new construction building site.
