If you’re one of Shannon Weber’s Superheroes, it’s likely you’ve been ‘caped’.

I first read about Shannon in a blog posted by one of my favorite wordies, Seth Goddin. Shannon runs a blog called LoveYou2.org and among other things, she’s an artist, a lover of life and maker of heroes.

Shannon introduces San Francisco’s local heroes to her Superhero Hall of Gratitude with a colorful, handmade cape and her deepest appreciation for “their contributions to a love-filled world”. Shannon’s heroes are “the unsung who offer to the world the very best parts of themselves without expectation”. Some of her recent heroes include Wangari Tharao– a pioneer in women-centered primary care, HIV testing, and sexual health services, Rhonda Cash– a San Francisco Transit Authority crossing guard, and Susan Lau– accountant for University of California’s HIVE program.
