It comes as no surprise to us that Gilbert placed number one- the best place to live, in AZBigMedia‘s most recent edition of ‘Ranking Arizona’.
Gilbert has long been one of Arizona’s fastest growing communities, indeed Gilbert as ‘the nation’s largest small town’ and home to around 272,000 residents, has managed to maintain its homey, welcoming character in spite of progressive expansion of both residential and commercial districts. The ‘Ranking Arizona’ poll cites Gilbert’s strength as “… a young, vibrant community that offers residents affordable housing, high-paying jobs, a multitude of outdoor and entertainment amenities, and a nationally ranked K-12 school system. In Gilbert, the needs of the community come first.” The narrative further acknowledges some of the many current “best cities” awards the town has earned “Gilbert has been nationally recognized as the most prosperous in the nation, one of the safest, and the best place to raise a family in Arizona.”
Rounding out the poll’s top ten are five more communities located in the East Valley: Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Tempe and Queen Creek, in addition to others in the Valley, Peoria, Phoenix, and Glendale, plus the northern Arizona city of Flagstaff.
