Pinal County Sheriff is Helping Veterans Find Their Way Home.
The calm, articulate presence of Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb is impressive, his compassion even more so. Sheriff Lamb traveled across the country recently to research his new plan to benefit Veteran inmates. Sheriff Lamb explains in this video on ABC15 Arizona.
Not all Military Veterans find it easy to transition back into civilian life, finding job, finding a home, perhaps just finding their place in the community. Some are suffering from medical issues like PTSD, others are dismayed to find that their credentials and accomplishments just don’t translate in the civilian business world. Many spend years retooling their skills. Others still, completely loose their way, and these are the folks that Sheriff Lamb is determined to help.
The new housing unit at Pinal County Correctional Facility is designed to respect and honor military veterans for their service, while delivering programs and special care to help qualified inmates to get their lives back in order and successfully return to society. The unit sports patriotic paintings and inspirational messages. VA counselors and service animals will be employed to assist with rehabilitation.
ALL of our Veterans deserve our respect and our support. This Thank You Thursday we recognize Pinal County Sheriff Lamb as he works to clear the way for those Veterans who’s lives have been sidetracked.
