A Smile for Today’s Thank You Thursday!

Thank You Lynda & Mike, from the bottom of our hearts. You are nothing less than amazing!

We are BIG fans of a concept that started out small and is growing in leaps and bounds every year! Send a Soldier a Smile began with Gilbert, AZ residents Lynda and Mike Wooten as a two-man-band, sending Christmas Cards to soldiers who are stationed overseas. In Lynda’s words: “We send cards to all branches of the military to remind them that they are not forgotten, especially at Christmas time. Many people have asked if we are an organization. We are not, we are former military parents who realize the importance of making sure our troops are not forgotten. We have worked with several church groups, schools, Girl Scouts and the Phoenix Suns National Basketball Team, collecting cards for our soldiers. Our goal is to make sure members of our military know they are appreciated, respected and how thankful we are for all of their sacrifices.”

Lynda and Mike’s little home-grown operation is now supercharged! The Phoenix Suns have gotten involved and there are thousands of holiday cards arriving in soldier’s mail boxes throughout the Military.

Thank You Thursday is honored to recognize you, Lynda & Mike Wooten for caring enough to take time out of your holiday season. Thank You for all your hard work and Thank You for just being you!
