It takes a lot to bring tears to my eyes but a recent letter from an Army Vet did just that when he wrote in his Thank You note, “These great people saved my life”. This is a very special Thank You Thursday to Landmark Home Foundation, Joe Duffin, and Sun Tech A/C
We do what we do because it makes life better for others and is just generally the right thing to do, and let’s face it, it makes us feel good too. Friendly smiles and Thank Yous are inspiring and greatly appreciated, but never a necessity. That’s what makes it all the more touching when we receive them.
I was recently contacted by a Korean War Army Veteran who’s 29-year-old air conditioner had conked out. If you’ve ever lived in Arizona (or even heard of Arizona) you know that can’t be a good thing. I have a business relationship with the Landmark Home Foundation, I gave them a call and the rest is in Cecil’s letter…
May 3, 2016 Bill Salvatore, Realtor (VAREP) Arizona Elite Properties Thank you again Bill for providing such great assistance with our air conditioning needs. There are no words I can use to express the appreciation of my wife and myself. Fresh, cool air: This is one of our necessities in the hot Arizona desert. Joe Duffin of Landmark Home Foundation, working with Bill Salvatore, Realtor (VAREP) and Jason Williamson of Sun Tech A/C, provided it for us. As a Korean War Veteran I am so grateful for the work each of these people did in replacing our failed A/C unit. Landmark provided the coordination and funding; Bill Salvatore, Realtor of Arizona Elite Properties provided guidance, Jason of Sun Tech A/C installed the system. Steve Pettingill of Landmark used his building expertise in selecting and working with a contractor. Bill guided me through the applications process for obtaining assistance from Landmark. Jason Williamson of Sun Tech A/C used his expertise in retrofitting all new A/C components into our home. Because of neurological problems, at age 83, I am unable to cope with the heat. These great people saved my life. All of these people are the experts in their field and deserve every respect and consideration for the help they provide veterans. Thanks to each of you. Thank You, Cecil G Hefner, Jr., Army Veteran
Cecil contacted us because of our work with Veterans, but you need not be a veteran to receive assistance through the Landmark Home Foundation, they help others in need as well. If you are in need of assistance with home rehab or repair, systems or appliances, you can contact us here. There is a very brief contact form that will get the ball rolling.
