PHOENIX — One week ago, Conrad Shulte was ending his nine-year career in the Army.
On Sunday, he’ll be attending Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale.
Shulte, who lives in the North Valley, received two tickets to the big game from the Military Assistance Mission.
“It’s really cool, because last the the Super Bowl was in Arizona, I got to watch it from Afghanistan and I told myself, ‘One of these days, before I pass on, I’m going to go to the damn Super Bowl,'” he said.
Shulte served three tours in Afghanistan and now participates in charity events year-round with MAM.
