Luxury Home Sales Soar in Arizona, and The Jeters List Tampa Waterfront Estate

The Arizona luxury home market is booming. AZBigMedia recently reported that a 14.5M home in Paradise Valley, a region Northeast of Phoenix and just North of Scottsdale, set a record for the highest per-square-foot expenditure ever in the Phoenix Metro area at $1,566.55 per square foot. According to the post, “the 9,256-square-foot custom home sits on 3.3 acres… with Camelback Mountain views from every vantage point”.

Recent increases in mortgage interest rates haven’t hindered the Real Estate market in the least. In fact, KJZZ declared that as of January 2021, Arizona has the highest home appreciation rates in the country. In a recent KJZZ post, Tina Tamboer, senior residential housing analyst with the Cromford Report observed “One thing that has been a kind of surprising trend over the last year, almost two years now, is the increase in luxury sales… one of the best years we’ve ever had, frankly, in Phoenix for sales over a million dollars” Tina goes on to say “… I can tell you that the analytics that we are watching are telling us that it’s not a reasonable expectation to have prices go down. So it’s reasonable to expect property values to continue rising throughout most of 2021, if not all of it.”

Fox Business news reports that nationwide, Luxury Real Estate is skyrocketing amid the Coronavirus pandemic. A new survey released by marketing firm Luxury Portfolio International (LPI) showed 25.8 million affluent and luxury households will be in the market to buy over the next three years and buyer interest outpaces demand in the coming months.

In addition to Arizona having the highest number of cities in the top rankings for best places for retirees (according to KAKEabc.com), Arizona, and in particular the Phoenix Metro Area, can now lay claim to its standing as THE best spot to buy Luxury Real Estate.

Yankee legend Derek Jeter and his wife Hannah have listed their Tampa property for $29 million. Construction on the 1.25-acre walled compound was completed in 2012 and includes a dock with two boat lifts and 345 feet of open bay.

At just under 22,000 square feet, the estate is the largest in South Tampa. Complete with a heated spa, an 80-foot saltwater lap pool and numerous outdoor covered porches and balconies, no expense was spared on construction of the seven-bedroom, eight full- and eight half-bath residence.

“This is the most impressive home to ever hit the market in the Tampa Bay area. It is the perfect fit for the luxury-minded buyer who wants the utmost in quality and impeccable attention to detail,” says listing agent Stephen Gay of Smith & Associates Real Estate.

Jeter currently serves as CEO and part-owner of the Miami Marlins and has since moved his family south to Miami. His and Hannah’s decision to sell the property also makes the home the most expensive to ever hit the market on Davis Islands, just south of Downtown Tampa.

Amenities around the estate are almost too numerous to list. Some features include: a wine cellar, an in-home movie theater, a professional gym, an in-law suite, an au-pair wing complete with a living area and kitchen, an outdoor kitchen and grilling area, an air-conditioned six-car garage and a scullery, among many others.
