This Thank You Thursday is devoted to the little things. Things we might be thankful for everyday but that we usually take for granted.
We shouldn’t need a special day for this, but I do appreciate that Thanksgiving has a way of making us pause and be grateful for family and friends, our health, our home and our freedom.
Because this is where our minds naturally travel on Thanksgiving, I didn’t want to let this opportunity slip by, to express in writing some of the things I will be forever grateful for… in no particular order:
- A brilliant sunrise with my morning coffee.
- Photos of the grandkids doing what they do every day.
- Fresh veggies.
- Football on Sundays and Baseball anytime.
- Our stellar Military Members and the Freedom that they work so hard to preserve.
- My old faithful recliner.
- Flawed as it is, you have to appreciate that we have an election process and it works to the best of it’s ability.
- The day political advertisements are over.
- A cozy fireplace on a cool evening.
- GPS in the car.
- 5:00am when I’m awake and no one else is.
- Pretzel croissants from the German Bakery in Phoenix.
- Smartphones that make the life of a business person infinitely easier.
- ‘The Blacklist’ and ‘Speechless’ and as always ‘Seinfeld’
- Homemade pepper jelly.
- A text from Dad or one of my ‘many’ Sisters.
- A desert hike and the frosty iced coffee that’s always waiting for me.
- Amazon Prime… Amazon anything.
- Quiet weekends.
- Good health, and the ability to still get to the gym every morning.
- Grown children who actually want you around once in a while.
- Dunkin’ Donuts
- Some really hilarious Facebook memes.
- Days spent with the Grandkids and a good nights sleep afterward.
- Loyal customers and clients who’ve become like friends.
- Costco Pumpkin Pie.
