Could there be better news? Certainly not for me.
IRCCS (Istituto Neurologico Mediterraneo Neuromed) of Italy has determined, in a study of 23,366 Italians consuming a Mediterranean diet that included pasta, that PASTA DOES NOT MAKE YOU FAT! As a matter of fact if I’m reading this right, pasta may actually be beneficial to your health. I know I slept better last night, knowing that.
Here’s the conclusion from the study of 23,366 residents of various regions in Italy: “As a traditional component of MeD (Mediterranean Diet), pasta consumption was negatively associated with BMI, waist circumference and waist-to-hip ratio, and with a lower prevalence of overweight and obesity.”
Wow!! And so to the IRCCS and 23,366 Italians, I say Thank You, Thank You! You’ve made my day.
Now I’m anxious to hear more good news about an IRCCS study of Oreos.
