A Remarkable Man. A Remarkable Career.

Along with his notable career in film including his most recent work in the Hunger Games series, did you know that Donald Sutherland:

• battled rheumatic fever, hepatitis, and poliomyelitis as a child

• graduated with a double major in engineering and drama

• was a member of “UC Follies” comedy troupe in Toronto

• studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art

• first featured in horror movies

• was made an Officer of the Order of Canada on 18 December 1978

• all four of his sons are named after directors that he worked with

• blogged for the Huffington Post during 2008 US Presidential elections

• has won numerous, prestigious awards and has a spot on both Canada’s Walk of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame
