In a story reported by ABC15, Veterans calling the VA Crisis hotline were put on hold, repeatedly, and for long periods of time.
The article states that Veterans calling for help got voicemail or no answer at all. Others were told to contact their local VA. These are people in crisis, on the verge or even in the process of suicide and they are calling a suicide hotline. What’s wrong with this picture?
