From the Battle Creek Enquirer: The Embassy of the Republic of South Korea is looking for Korean War veterans to honor them for their service and friendship.

If you are a veteran from the Korean War from 1950-1953, you may be eligible for the Ambassador for Peace Medal.

If the veteran is no longer living, the next of kin may receive the medal on behalf of the veteran.

To determine eligibility, you will need a copy of the discharge papers, a DD214.
