In the video below, Chris Williams with 12News reports on continuing issues with wait times for Veterans at VA medical centers. It’s obvious that they’re working on it and in all fairness, wait times to see civilian doctors are generally about the same (if not worse). My thoughts are that the system had so many glitches that they didn’t know where to start, and just threw stuff at it to see what would stick. Time to concentrate your efforts VA, you’ve rounded the corner now and should be able see clearly where the worst problems are. ~Bill

There’s new information that suggests some Arizona veterans are still dealing with delayed medical care.
The details released by the Associated Press claim there’s still a ways to go to fix the system at the center of a national controversy.
It took more than a month for some vets to see a doctor according to data.
The information from September to February claims nearly 6 percent of veterans going to the Carl T. Hayden Medical Center in Phoenix experienced those extended wait times. That is the same location where whistle blowers first raised the alarm about veteran’s care.
The president even returned to Phoenix in March specifically to visit the VA hospital for a round table discussion about the problems plaguing the system.
Despite the attention, the Associated Press report claims problems persist in Phoenix to a greater extent than the national average. – complete article –
