Only a handful of states require Real Estate agents to disclose paranormal activity in a home that they’ve listed for sale. But whether or not the home might be haunted, if it has been the site of a murder or suicide, many states have statutes that compel the home seller to include this in their disclosures. In fact, stigma of any kind can create a sticking point for home buyers, and sellers are frequently obliged to divulge details.

Incidentally, Arizona is in the majority, in that hauntings need not be disclosed by the Realtor. However home sellers are required to disclose any material facts that could negatively affect value. So does paranormal activity apply?
Home Haunted? That’s No Reason to Move Say Most Americans

It’s the most wonderful time of the year again: Fall! Leaves are changing, families are going apple picking and haunted attractions are back. However, if you live in a home that’s actually haunted, would you immediately pack up and move? According to realtor.com®’s annual Halloween survey, most Americans would not.
Among the more than 2,000 U.S. homeowners that were surveyed by realtor.com®, 13 percent said they believe they live in a haunted house currently and, among them, more than half (56 percent) say they have not considered moving.
“Haunted houses typically draw big crowds this time of year, but we wanted to see how many people actually believe they live in one,” said Lexie Holbert, realtor.com® housing and lifestyle expert. “Although only a small percentage of respondents indicated they believe their home is haunted, it was surprising to see how many are comfortable sharing their space with spirits.”
Another interesting takeaway from the survey is the fact that among the respondents who believe they currently live in a home that’s haunted, Northeasterners were the most comfortable living with spirits (76 percent), followed by those in the West (57 percent), the South (51 percent) and the Midwest (35 percent).
On a related note, for all of those that are decidedly uncomfortable living among ghosts, national real estate company ISoldMyHouse.com has partnered with an exorcist to offer home exorcisms. The free service is conducted via video call between homeowners and the exorcist who diagnoses any paranormal issues within a home and offers advice on how to rid it of spirits.
