It’s interesting how quickly a design trend will take hold. Several of the design and decor features in the infographic below are even on the brink of becoming a craze. I can’t tell you how many sheds I’ve encountered with elaborately finished interiors, or barn-door style closures especially in homes with Southwest character. Monochromatic rooms are everywhere, especially white or gray. Personally I like the idea of #6 – sectionals… the better to stretch out and watch a game!
I’d be curious about design trends in New Construction homes. I know that in the practicality department, energy efficiency and durable flooring are gaining a lot of ground. I think a visit to my local builder’s design center is in order… I’ll keep you posted.
