I’m a pretty big fan already but today he outdid himself! Stephen Colbert pledged to fund every existing grant request made by South Carolina teachers on DonorsChoose.org. Amazing!!

Social media lit up Thursday after a celebrity announced a major donation to South Carolina students.
Comedian and soon-to-be “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert revealed that he would fund every grant request by South Carolina public school teachers on DonorsChoose.org.
Colbert partnered with The Morgridge Family Foundation’s Share Fair Nation and ScanSource, which is headquartered in Greenville, to fund nearly 1,000 projects for more than 800 teachers at over 375 schools, totaling $800,000.
As news of the Palmetto State native’s donation spread, Twitter users, including Barry Manilow, responded.
